The Cilento is a wide coastal region of southern Italy, in the province of Salerno. Takes its name from the fortified town of Cilento, which no longer exists, located on Monte Stella to 1131 meters above sea level, the city of Atlanta during the Longobard domination (8th century). The territory, green mountains, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea between Paestum and Palinuro and borders, inside, with the Vallo di Diano: together, make up the National Park, declared by UNESCO, 2 December 1998, a world heritage site. Surrounded by a field of olive trees, the House sits on a hill above San Mauro Cilento. The House, built of local stone in the second half of the 18th century, has been recently restored respecting its original architecture. The traditional design and its location at 376 m above sea level makes it possible to enjoy the relaxation even on warm summer nights.
