Lough Corrib, Cong Village, Ashford Castle, Kylemore Abbey, The West of Ireland, Connemara and lots more! Affectionately known as The Corrib, you can walk out your front gate to a private pier where you can swim, fish and go boating. Ballycurrin Bay is famed for it's large trout stocks. In July 2002 a 23lb trout was caught, one of the biggest ever on the lake! Fish also for salmon, pike and perch. Take a walk along the lake front to Ballycurrin lighthouse and Ballycurrin Demesne. Lough Corrib is a vast lake of 41,600 acres. It is mostly shallows and contains 365 islands. For the fisherman, the water is very clear and it holds a good stock of trout which average over 1lb.
