Walking : Some beautiful walks are to be enjoyed over the Lomond Hills which rise above the town and provide spectacular panoramic views. Specially designated walks around Falkland Estate offer paths and wooded areas immaculately maintained by highly dedicated volunteers. These are easily accessible from the cottage within minutes on foot. A short drive takes you to the beautiful and varied Fife Coastal Path which runs all the way from the Forth Estuary to the Tay Estuary. Cycling 300 miles of excellent cycle paths and of special interest is the stunning Fife Coastal Path which takes in beautiful fishing villages such as Crail and Anstruther, wildlife reserves, and award winning beaches. Shopping. All expeditions are catered for from high-end Edinburgh department stores to specialist boutiques, delicatessens, and wine merchants in Cupar and St Andrews. There is also a good offering on the cottage doorstep. Tennis. Falkland Palace Royal Tennis Club offer games at the real tennis court in the palace gardens. The courts were originally built for James V of Scotland in 1539.
