Butterfly-shaped, the two islands are separated by a salt water river. The Eastern Island is Grande-Terre and West is Basse-Terre. Be the northern tip of the Grande Vigie de Grande Terre is also the north-eastern point of the island. Grande Terre is a natural habitat for many fish and invertebrates. Surrounded by coral reefs, the coast is an incredible limestone plateau with dull, legendary cliffs and magnificent sand beaches that range from white to the black sand to low-Earth. We have the most beautiful beaches and numerous agricultural lands. The blower is without doubt the most beautiful beach of the island. The sea of the Caribbean-oriented one sees magnificent sunset. An important event is the annual Festival of the beach takes place in July. The cemetery is at the end of the beach. Some graves in sand are surrounded by conch lambis. At the north end of the blower, hikers will appreciate the colors between blue water of the sea and the mangroves that point Port Louis and Anse-Bertrand (easy way, around 2:30, walk). You can indulge in windsurfing windsurfing, surfing and of course swimming. You can also simply a part of volleyball on the beach. The bravest will be able to dive underwater and there discover the diversity of fauna and flora.
