Baie aux Huitres, a Serene Fisherman Village on the North Coast of Rodrigues
Baie aux Huitres is a small fisherman village situated in the north of the island of Rodrigues. Its name can be translated as the "Bay with oysters" or "Oyster Bay" due to the fact that once upon a time this bay was home to many rocks where you could find an overwhelming number of oysters. There are others that say that the village was named this way because its bay has the shape of an oyster.
