Covered Lanai surrounds the house for sleeping, reading, dining, or staring at the view doing absolutely nothing. Stardeck — a few paces from cottage is open to sunshine and to Hawaii's amazing nightly star circus. Chaise lounges flatten down so you can lie under the celestial canopy, eyes wide open or closed listening to the symphony of night sounds surrounding you. In addition to full kitchen, you have a gas-fired BBQ. Have fun supplementing local farmers' market produce with citrus, pineapples, bananas, and herbs from our garden. During May, enjoy mangos. Swimming is 10 minutes by car either to the warm pound (sea water heated by geothermal) or to Kehena Beach where dophins hang out. Closest swimming found where Pohoiki Road intersects the coastal 'red' road (just 2 miles from our driveway) at the boat ramp and surfers' entry into the ocean. Some guests say the best days are those when they didn't leave the property at all
