Located in the Marigny and within 6 blocks of the French Quarter & Bourbon Street, Frenchman Street, dozens of restaurants & bars, live music venues, and a world of charm that most tourists rarely get to experience!
The Guest House features five units; two suites, two studios and one apartment. Each unit offers the convenience of a private entrance, Jacuzzi access, bathrooms with full amenities, refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, coffee-makers, and privacy curtains. When you aren’t taking in the sights, relax on our landscaped courtyard and secluded porches or use the BBQ and invite friends over for dinner. The entire house can also be rented and sleeps up to 16. We are in the center of the famous Faubourg Marigny district of New Orleans and within walking distance to the best New Orleans has too offer. From small independent restaurants to jazz clubs on Frenchman Street, the French Quarter, and the recently completed St Roch Market and cafe you won't have to walk far to find entertainment. Whether celebrating Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, or one of the cities frequent cultural offerings, our guest house will provide the relaxation and comfort you need for your home away from home.
We are located six blocks from the world famous French Quarter, French Market, Mighty Mississippi River and the French Market Street Car stop. New Orleans City Blocks are short. To walk to the French Quarter, make a right out our front our gate, walk three blocks, take a right onto Royal Street, walk two blocks and you’ll be in the French Quarter. We also like to point that when you make a right on Royal St., you could also walk one block down Royal and make a left onto Frenchman St. This area is hopping! There are many Supper Clubs, Jazz Clubs, shops, artist markets and restaurants. Continue down Frenchman St. and follow as it turns left onto Decatur Street. You are now at the bottom section of the French Quarter just a block from the Mississippi. At the end of Decatur is Harrah Casino. You can also catch the Street car here. Taking the street car ends at the Convention Center. You can get off at the Canal St. stop and visit I-Max, Aquarium, and Insectarium Museum (it's actually an amazing place!). Make sure not to miss the WWII Museum. If you make a left out our main gate, four doors down you’ll find a Daiquiri Shop, a PoBoy Shop and right across the street is a Walgreen’s. This Walgreen’s sells beer, wine and liquor very rare for Walgreens.
You most likely won't want or need a car. The Guest House is less than is a ten minute walk to the French Quarter, Frenchman Street, and most of the major attractions. There is public transportation a block away, and a bike rental shop 3 blocks away. Weekly street parking is almost always available on my block except during the most popular holidays. I rarely have to park more than a block from the house.
